This is a collection of 35mm images that I captured during a week long trip in Whitefish & Glacier National Park Montana. 

I use photography as a mental escape to find peace in such a fast pace world, and that is often reflected in my work. 

Walking around the calm, beautiful scenery in Montana was possibly the most at peace i've ever felt. I still find myself daydreaming about being alone in Montana with a camera when the world seemed to stand still for a short period of time. 

Montana Daydreams

Staying just a few blocks away, I decided to explore Whitefish Mountain one Fall day when I was staying in Montana. Short on time, I decided to take the chairlift rather than hike.

From the base, it seemed like a pretty ordinary mountain. However, as I got near the top, I noticed all of the vibrant colors meshing together beautifully.

I had experienced fall colors in the mountains before, but the wild huckleberry plants were forming vibrant red patches unlike anything I had ever seen. I captured this photo from the chairlift.

Huckleberry Mountain

The only time I find myself truly at peace in this chaotic world is when I am alone in nature. When isolated in nature, the rest of the world seemingly disappears for a moment. All the stresses of daily life and civilization temporarily melt away. 

Quiet stillness, beautiful scenery, and fresh mountain air all combine to make this one of the most peaceful places I have visited. This photo was captured near Beaver Creek, Colorado, on a warm summer day, and is a visual representation of finding peace in solitude.
