Year of The Dragon, 2024

For the past few weeks I have been working on this really special piece and reflecting on how I have been feeling and what I want to achieve this new year, as well as ideas and themes I want to explore and incorporate into my practice. I wanted to showcase my love for both the digital and analogue, the traditional and the experimental in a piece that would celebrate the mindset I’m trying to set for 2024. The frame around the dragon is reminiscent of the azulejo, these Portuguese tiles always bring me back to my childhood and are a staple of my culture.
