云 - Awash in Cloud

By Blair Sugarman

Sights like this are a rare occurrence. On a quiet morning in March, south-easterly winds blew in wave after wave of thick, low clouds.

As these clouds poured over the distant mountains and into the city the lights of the city streets, still visible in the early hours, shone through - giving an appearance of flowing lava in the city streets.

When the clouds met the steel and concrete towers of Hong Kong's central district, the immovable structures diverted the clouds into smaller channels that slowly trickled throughout the rest of the city.
