■海佐知毘古 / Umisachihiko He is the god of fishing and the sea, one of the sons of Ninigi and Sakuyahime. His brother is Yamasachi.
One day, his brother Yamasachi wanted to fish, so Umisachi lent a fishing hook. Yamasachi couldn't even catch fish and lost hook. Since then, Umisachi has continued to blame him. Eventually the hook returns to Umisachi. However, the hook was cursed. Because of the curse, Umisachi surrendered to Yamasachi.
■Meaning “海/umi” means ”ocean”. “佐知/sachi” means “a hunting equipment”. “毘古/hiko” means “male”.
■Concept He is a god who is good at fishing, so he carries a fishing rod and a sea bream on his back. He looks a little regrettable because he eventually loses to his younger brother. The pattern on the face is the same for the brothers.
