By SimaEnaga【伊邪那美命 / Izanami-no-Mikoto】 She is the mother of many Japanese gods and the wife of “Izanagi”. Izanami gave birth to “Kagutsuchi”, the god of fire, but she died from severe burns. Kagutsuchi was killed by Izanagi, and Izanami moved to the “Yomi no Kuni (the world of the dead)”. Izanagi came to pick her up, but he saw the rotten body of Izanami and ran away. She was left behind in the Yomi and divorced.
【Meaning】 “伊邪那/izana” means “Induction” or “charity”, but there are various opinions. “美/mi” is an old expression, meaning "female” or “beauty”. “命/mikoto” is a word that after the name of a god or a noble.
【Concept】 I made a sad impression. Because she had a sad parting with Izanagi. Camellia, lilies, and cluster amaryllis express fragility. The mirror on her chest portrays an image of the afterlife of the land of Yomi, in contrast to the ones of Amaterasu.
